This is a very important section of your CV as it catches the eye of the potential employer.
It should include a brief summary of your current situation, career goals and the level you are certified to.
This should be no more than 2-3 sentences.
Education / Qualifications:
This should include relevant school, maritime college or universities attended including dates and
qualifications for example, GCSE’s, Standard Grades, A Levels, Higher, Degrees, Sea going Certification etc.
Employment / Experience:
Previous employment should be included in this section starting with your most recent employment.
This should be listed with Job Title, Employer, Name and Type of vessel sailed and Dates.
You should also include a brief sentence on experience / skills gained within each position.
Hobbies and Interests:
This section should be kept brief however you can include activities, interests, life aims.

A referee is someone who your potential employer can contact to find out more about you.
